Voice of Experience
[When we implemented AlignRT] we wanted to use it on everybody. Our doctors said, “it’s good for everybody, why wouldn’t we use it on everyone?” We use it on our breasts – supine, Deep Inspiration Breath Hold and prone patients, and we use it for lung including SBRT, chest, abdomen including SBRT, pelvises, head and necks with open-face masks and brains with open-face masks.
- Maggie O’Connor BSRT(T), Manager of Radiation Oncology Technical Services, HealthQuest
Visualising and correcting the roll for the pelvis before CBCT has been the greatest help for this. We use Rapid Arc for the treatment, so the roll is extremely important.
- Alisha Chlebik, Radiation Therapist at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles
AlignRT has certainly helped reduce the pitch and roll in our pelvis patients as well as reducing the number of CBCT's required per patient. This means a reduction of dose and time in the room for the patient.
- Sandra Paul, Head of Planning, Alfred Health, Australia
With the introduction of the postural module we have now started to use AlignRT to set up our pelvis patients. It has been a tremedous help in reducing the pitch and rotations prior to imaging. We are seeing an improvement in our CBCT data as a result.
- Suzanne Coupland, Advanced Imaging Lead Radiographer, Raigmore Hospital, Inverness, Scotland
“We were thrilled to find that incorporating SGRT into the prostate patient setup process reduced reimaging rates and, therefore, reduced the amount of time our patients had to maintain a full bladder.”
